If there is one, I would like to know where it is. How do you guys do it? I couldn't seem to find a full tutorial on the entire process from making the sprite to actually putting it in the game. This may have to do with me not understanding the process others use when they deal with sprite making in Photoshop. Using this one just results in a white box when graphic is selected, not sure whats going on there. Only works for selecting graphics for other characters, just not the player which is a problem. Why is when I select Tools>Database>Actors and change the first characters graphic it selects the entire box instead of just the character(2nd image) as it did when I select a NPC and change the graphic? (1st image) How am I supposed to fix my character being halved when I select the character? There should be a way to have a taller character without cutting it off like that.ģ. How do I remove the white space around my character when I select the graphic?Ģ. I made gridlines for the sprite, put a $ to indicate it is a single character, and put it into the data base. I understand that the sprites have to be 3x their width and 4x their height which I did do. He hasn't made the other frames of animation so all I have so far is the character facing towards the screen and nothing else. So I just got started with RPG Maker VX Ace a week or two ago, and I'm just starting out trying to get a custom sprite my friend made to work.
